Technisch Security Expert

You have a minimum of WO-level education and thinking.

You have 5-8 years of relevant work experience as, for example, a Security Architect, Solution Architect, IAM Consultant, or other similar roles.

CISSP or CISM is the basic certification you bring.

IAM, SABSA, SAP, or Azure certifications are all additional qualifications that may contribute to performing this role effectively. You bring some of them, and we'll teach you the rest.

You belong to that.

From day one, you are part of the Security Office. The Security Office advises our colleagues on the resilience of this organization across the full range of business processes and IT and OT systems. The department consists of about 15 employees and is part of the CIO/CISO Office. You will join a close-knit team of experienced colleagues with diverse backgrounds. We are driven, energetic, and full of humor.

It's quite natural that you get your phone (or a Bring Your Own Device allowance) and a laptop from us. What else can you expect from an employer?

The energy transition is a digital transition. This organization faces significant challenges in the digitization of grid management. Digitization of OT, IoT, AI, cloud, containerization, agile software development; these are all developments where technology is applied to enable smarter grid management. Additionally, at this organization as a grid operator, we have a tremendous societal responsibility, so cybersecurity is essential to ensure that the light continues to shine everywhere and the energy transition progresses.

As a Technical Security Expert, you are responsible for developing, supporting the implementation, evaluating, and adjusting cybersecurity. You guide and advise the Agile Release Trains and (DevSecOps) teams with your knowledge/experience in applying Security by Design, taking into account relevant legal regulations, sector frameworks, architecture frameworks, and information security policies.

How your day as a Technical Security Expert looks at this organization?

You start your day with a meeting with the Product Manager, the Release Train Engineer, and the Solution Architect to arrive at the right innovative solutions for the DevSecOps teams to support business processes. This way, you contribute to Security-by-Design and our highly reliable networks.

After the meeting, it's time to join a webinar on Cybersecurity. This way, you keep up with Cybersecurity developments and can proactively contribute to improving the maturity of cybersecurity within this organization.

You have lunch in the company restaurant on the 18th floor, enjoying your own or fresh lunch and the view over Rotterdam. Or you take a walk into the city. This depends on where you are, either with your team or comfortably at home.

After lunch, it's time for a review of the security requirements within one of 'your' teams. Do we meet our own standards, or can you support a DevOps engineer in the implementation? This directly contributes to keeping our beautiful vital infrastructure secure.
