Success Stories

“I already had a strong interest in coding and the placements helped to reassure me that this was the direction I wanted to go in. I just completed a Computer Science degree and I've started a software engineering graduate programme with Tesco.”
“My experiences through Next Tech Girls helped me see myself having a career in technology and allowed me to be more confident in my choices coming out of sixth form. I'm now working for Jaguar Land Rover as a software engineering degree apprentice.”
“Since my placement with Next Tech Girls I've graduated with First Class Honours in Computer Science. For postgraduate, I will be going for PGCE teacher training for Computing in hopes of being able to introduce more young girls to the world of tech.”

Our Story

Next Tech Girls is an award-winning social enterprise set up by tech recruitment agency Empiric in 2016 to tackle the skills and gender gaps in the tech industry.

We partner with companies and educational institutions to run inspiring tech-focused events and work experience placements for teenage girls, with a focus on those from lower income or ethnic minority backgrounds.

By showcasing diverse women in tech as relatable role models and giving girls hands-on experience and insights into a career in tech at a critical age, when studies show their interest tends to drop off, we are shaping their futures and the future of the tech industry.
