Empiric is recruiting Electrical Project Managers for leading electrical contractors delivering major hyperscale data center projects. You'll own the commercial and delivery performance of an electrical package, working alongside the superintendent to keep labor, procurement and field progress aligned with the budget and schedule.

Our clients are two of the largest and most established electrical contractors in the Western US, each with mission critical as a core market and a long track record delivering hyperscale and colocation data centers. Both are growing their Nevada and Utah operations to keep pace with campus work across the Reno, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City markets.

Locations and travel

What you'll do

• Manage electrical budgets, labor forecasts, procurement, subcontracts and cost reporting.
• Coordinate the release and delivery of long-lead equipment with suppliers, the GC and field leadership.
• Lead scope reviews, negotiate changes and manage billing, cost-to-complete forecasts and margin.
• Work with superintendents and foremen to sequence installations, plan manpower and resolve field issues.
• Coordinate inspections, testing readiness, commissioning interfaces and turnover for the electrical scope.

What you'll bring

• Project management experience with an electrical contractor, or direct responsibility for substantial electrical packages.
• Ownership of costs, labor, procurement and change orders.
• Data center or mission critical experience is particularly relevant.

Not a perfect match? Managed large electrical scopes on industrial, healthcare or commercial projects? Strong electrical PMs from adjacent sectors are considered.
