Entry level jobs into recruitment
What does a Recruitment Resourcer do?
A Resourcer main responsibility is to identify and screen potential job seekers that match a client’s requirements. This will be through searching the company’s database, external job boards, LinkedIn and other channels that will help you build a pool of potential candidates.
You will work closely with your client facing colleagues to deliver a short list of job seekers who will be presented to the client for potential interviews.
Promotional opportunities include becoming a Delivery Consultant (or 180 Consultant). These continue to be candidate (job seeking) facing with greater responsibility but also more financial reward when you hit your targets. Becoming an Account Manager would also be an option as you progress your career as a Delivery Consultant.
What is a Trainee Recruitment Consultant?
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant you will focus on candidate attraction, sourcing, identifying and screening job seekers to presenting your pool of candidates to a more senior colleague who will shortlist those most suitable to the client. Initially you will be doing activities very similar to a Resourcer.
As you develop in your career you will get more face time with clients, presenting candidate short lists as well as business development (BD) activities where you will be responsible for bringing in new clients to the company.
Starting your career as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, your typical career progression will look something like:
Trainee Recruitment Consultant >> Recruitment Consultant >> Senior Recruitment Consultant >> Principal Consultant >> managerial work.
As you progress you will have more BD responsibilities and delivery targets but your basic compensation and additional bonuses will be that much greater and financially rewarding. These consultants are offered referred to as 360 Consultants as they are responsible for sourcing the candidates as well as liaising with clients.
