Data Engineer - Python - PySpark - Contract - Remote

Empiric has received exclusive instructions from one of the world's most innovative consultancy's, for a Data Engineer to join for remote contract for a major customer. This would require someone who can work visit location in Budapest when required.

Experience Required:

• Data Engineer with several years of experience at big companies (ideally insurance/financial industry)
• Experience with ingestion, processing and reporting of structured and unstructured data
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, storage systems, cloud infrastructure
• Proficient in Python / PySpark and Spark SQL
• Experience with version control systems like GIT
• Front-end application experience (ideally, type script / Java)
• Palantir knowledge is a bonus
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and results to non-technical audiences

This is a critical position, with interviews that are taking place this week.
