QA/Test Engineer - Azure Devops, REST, SOAP, Automation
We have a new fully remote, long-term freelance opportunity for a skilled QA and Testing Engineer to contribute to the success of our leading telecommunications customer.
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing requirements and specifications to define test conditions accurately. You'll develop Test Strategy, Test Plans, Detailed Test Cases, and Test Scripts based on Business Requirements. Your role will also involve executing functional and non-functional tests, accurately reporting results, and providing guidance and support to project staff with strong testing skills.
As a QA Engineer, you will review and approve the work of team members, ensuring best practices are followed and testing activities stay on schedule. Additionally, you'll actively participate in functional, system, and regression testing, capturing quality assurance data and metrics for valuable insights. Estimating and performing risk analysis for quality delivery will also be part of your responsibilities.
To excel in this role, you should have relevant QA testing experience and a strong proficiency in Azure DevOps. Your strong Knowledge of API Testing, experience with REST and SOAP services, and expertise in automated API testing using tools like Postman/Newman will be highly valuable. You should also have the ability to create and maintain Test Plans, Test Cases, and Defect Reports, along with familiarity with performance testing and source control systems like Git. Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Agile methodology is a plus, as well as experience with SQL databases, T-SQL, and writing SQL queries.
This is a fully remote, full-time, freelance contract opportunity with long-term prosperity as the customer is looking to build a robust team for the long-term.
