Long term contract opportunity for a Solution Architect to join my new client in the Public sector/Local government industry who are undertaking a Consolidation/Rationalisation programme of their constituency's Transport systems. Our client are working with 4 local authorities who each have their own Transport systems in place (for Buses for example), to create a single centralised common Transportation system which all 4 authorities can utilise.

The role of the Solution Architect will be to come in and review the AS-IS landscape, define the Solution Architectural roadmap/design of how they are going to achieve this transition, and then solve technical challenges which arise along the way.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be a proven Solution Architect with experience working in Cloud environments (Azure), SaaS environments, and will also have prior experience in the Transport domain. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within local Government/Public sector within the Transport domain, however failing this, general experience working in the Transport industry (ideally bus transport) would also be sufficient.

The perfect candidate for this role will also be familiar with specific Transport software systems, such as: Novus RX, Novus FX, Journeo, EPI 4, Trapeze, GIS Mapping tools, Contract management, Asset management.

This position is inside IR35, and requires you to work on-site 1 day per week in Chesterfield (will require travel around the midlands when required).
