Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite in Wallsall- rest remote (local candidates preferred)

Contract Length: 6 months

THE COMPANY

Empiric is partnered with a leading managed services provider supporting a data migration project for a major utilities client. They are looking for an experienced Data Migration Consultant to manage the end-to-end data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) process while ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance.

THE ROLE

You will take ownership of the data migration process, working alongside technical teams, business stakeholders, and programme managers to ensure a smooth transition between systems. The role requires a strong technical background in SQL and ETL, with stakeholder management experience as a secondary priority.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skillset:

• Data migration expertise – managing extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
• SQL skills – experience with data validation, cleansing, and migration processes
• Data governance & quality assurance – ensuring data integrity and compliance
• Stakeholder management – liaising with internal teams, vendors, and business leaders
• Risk & issue management – identifying and mitigating migration-related risks
• Hybrid role – working with technical teams while engaging with stakeholders when required
• Energy or Utilities experience is beneficial but not essential
